About me

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST, where I work with Professor Paula Moraga on developing innovative statistical methods and computational tools for geospatial data analysis and health surveillance. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Calgary, collaborating with Professors Rob Deardon and Alexandra Schmidt on modeling complex behavioral change in epidemic systems. I earned my PhD in Statistics in 2024 from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, under the supervision of Professors Fernando Quintana and Rosangela Loschi.

My research interests center on Bayesian inference, both parametric and nonparametric, with a particular focus on modeling and computational techniques for complex and correlated data. Much of my work is applied to infectious disease modeling and spatio-temporal disease mapping.
